No data leaves your device. When you use our PDF Editor, Image Background Remover, OCR Extractor, or any other tool on PixByte, the file processing happens 100% locally within your web browser. We utilize advanced web technologies like WebAssembly (WASM) to run heavy processing tasks directly on your CPU/GPU.

2. Zero Uploads & Zero Servers

We do not have backend servers that receive, store, or process your files. We do not have a database of your documents. Because your files are never uploaded to the internet, they cannot be intercepted, hacked, or sold by us or anyone else.

3. Data Collection

We do not collect personal information, email addresses, or payment details, as PixByte requires no accounts and no subscriptions. We may use standard anonymous web analytics (like Google Analytics or similar) strictly to count page views and understand aggregate traffic patterns, but this data is never tied to your files or personal identity.

4. Local Storage

We may temporarily use your browser's local cache or IndexedDB to download AI models (e.g., the English language model for OCR) to make the tools work offline. These models are safely stored on your device by your browser to speed up future visits.
